Pro Tips (from Pros)
Got any questions about your machinima carrer? How we do it? Want to know what equpiment we use, our influences, anything? Ask a question here in this topic and I'll make Layne answer it.
JK, just go ahead and ask and we'll see what we can do. Of course, asking about our equipment would take a lifetime to answer, so try to be specific in what you ask.
Have fun asking questions!

How do you come up with such good scripts? Oh, and when you add a picture into the film ( Like in that halo dance tv 2 thing, with the star wars clone wars poster and that one guy dancing on his own) what do you use to do that. Photoshop? Please tell! Please!

First of all, we RARELY write scripts. Never for Marlin, that's all done while we film and voice-record. PBK is scripted.
Re: Pro Tips (from Pros)
For Marlin ideas, we just come up with a basic idea, and say "That's good". When we go in to Halo 3 to make it, we discuss it for a minute or two, then film it. It's always usually fun!Cory Von Kyle wrote:Jethro wrote:How do you come up with such good scripts? Yeah... i would also like to ask for help. 1> How do you even put pics over videos like you do in marlin the elite. and 2> I need help for acting... it doesn't have to be you guys in TP productions cause i know that you are probably doing your best to make project blackknight and more a really good machinima, so if anyone could, please help me. Besides, i could find a good friend over live just by doing this.

We use a free program called Gimp. I think it's just for Macs. It's not as good as Photoshop, but once you get the hang of it, it's really useful.Jethro wrote:Oh, and when you add a picture into the film ( Like in that halo dance tv 2 thing, with the star wars clone wars poster and that one guy dancing on his own) what do you use to do that. So we use Gimp to cut out the object, then we overlay it with the footage in Final Cut, and adjust the angle of the image so it looks like it's really there.

FYI: GIMP is for PCs tooLayne wrote:We use a free program called Gimp. I think it's just for Macs.
